Programme Description
Students learn and practice specific skills and music during private lessons, and then use that knowledge to study ensemble skills and music theory during group lessons; concurrent enrollment in both private and group lessons is required.
The private lessons expand on technique, repertoire, and tone production. Our bi-weekly reading programme focuses on music theory, aural training, note reading, composers, musical eras, and performances.
Programme Introduction
The Suzuki Cello Method breaks down each complex skill into manageable portions, allowing beginners as young as four to master the components of beautiful playing in a manageable and logical sequence. A core component of the Suzuki model, group classes focus on developing ensemble skills, deepening musicality and reviewing repertoire.
4-17 years
17 Private Lessons, 9 Group Lessons, Ensemble Rehearsals, 1 Recital. Group lessons are mandatory for under age 12.
